[photopress:DSCN1059.JPG,full,alignleft]Vancouver has many great sites and things to see, but perhaps one of the most famous is the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver.

Vancouver’s oldest tourist attraction, originally built in 1889, the bridge stretches 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. They have also added a number of other interesting aspects to their operation including a nature centre and a treetop adventure walk that consists of a series of small suspension bridges that allows visitors to high among the evergreen trees.

But many visitors to Capilano are shocked to learn the cost of the visit – $27.95 for adults in the peak season! It’s a great attraction but at that rate it really makes you wonder.

Here’s a tip. Check out the Lynn Canyon Park, 5 minutes away in North Vancouver. It is the home of the Lynn Valley suspension bridge. It’s much more quaint, and it’s free!
